Classes for departments

Taught at your department, anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.

Mental health awareness, trauma awareness, and responder resilience and wellness. Every class can be tailored or combined based on your department's needs.

Trauma Informed in the Workplace

A four-hour class covering the fundamentals of trauma and its impact on society and communities. Attendees learn to identify signs of trauma in individuals, how to approach and communicate with traumatized people, and best practices for engaging with them compassionately and effectively.

First Responder Resilience & Wellness

Training on first responder resilience, trauma, and wellness, designed for people in demanding, high-stress jobs. It builds awareness, develops better coping mechanisms, works toward a healthier work-life balance, and teaches participants to recognize their own stress signals before burnout.

The approach is holistic: habits that support fulfillment and happiness for participants and the people they love, and sustainability across a career.

Flourishing as a First Responder Family

Sara and Bo's journey as a first responder family is a testament to strength and resilience. They share their story for individuals and couples who want to flourish while facing the traumas of the job and the chaos of life. By prioritizing their relationship and planning for the future, they have kept a loving, supportive bond for twenty-five years while raising three kids.

They share the strategies that worked for them, commitment to each other, open communication, mutual respect, and a growth mindset, and what those habits can do for a relationship under the pressure of a stressful career. The story teaches the power of empathy, compassion, and understanding in hard times, and that people are capable of great strength and happiness.

How classes are taught

Classes are taught and led by Sara, our main instructor and clinician, and often paired with a highly trained officer with years of experience in mental health, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.

Instruction draws on years of teaching in the public service sector and lived experience in first responder culture, and aims to give your people practical tools they can use in the field and at home.

Tell us about your department and what you're seeing, and we'll tailor or combine classes to fit.
