Lived experience in first response.

I served as a 911 dispatcher for police, fire, and EMS. My upbringing was steeped in the first responder lifestyle: both my parents retired after serving their police and fire departments for a combined 60 years, and my husband of 26 years has worked as a law enforcement officer for over 20 of them.

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in trauma and resilience for first responders. Combined with decades of personal experience, that gives me a working understanding of the family-system roles that come with this life.

What you get is a safe, non-judgmental space where you don't have to explain any part of your job. I approach every client with a priority of privacy, acceptance, and a bit of humor. It takes real strength to work toward personal growth, and I'm glad you're reaching out.

What happens when you reach out

From first contact to first session, in three legs.

  1. Reach out

Email Prioritytrafficon1@gmail.com or call 458-264-1105 to request a free initial telehealth consult. It's a short conversation to see whether we'd be a good fit for counseling.

  2. Intake

Intake paperwork arrives by email before the consult and is completed before your first full session after it. It's where I gather background and we set goals for the sessions ahead.

  3. First session

In the office, as a nature walk-and-talk on the property, or by video from anywhere in Oregon.

Thirty minutes west of Eugene, in the trees.

My office is in a secluded wooded area, which keeps things private. We can meet in the office, or take the session outside: nature walk-and-talk sessions on the property can help lower stress and anxiety, and help with trauma.

If driving out isn't realistic for you, ask. I'm passionate about getting people the help they came for and can offer alternatives for in-person sessions. Telehealth is available to anyone living in Oregon.
